Geospatial Technology

Take the first step!

INTRODUCTION:

Unlock the power of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and geospatial technologies with our new Geospatial Technology course. This course introduces students to the fundamental concepts and practical applications of geospatial technology. Emphasis is placed on understanding spatial data, mapping techniques, and the integration of various geospatial tools.

Through a combination of lectures, hands-on exercises, and projects, students will develop a strong foundation in utilising geospatial technology for data analysis, visualisation, and decision-making.
GIS (Geographical Information System) is a vibrant, growing field with many opportunities for people who want to work in it.

The demand for GIS professionals is increasing as the technology becomes more widespread and integrated into our everyday lives. There is currently a lack of GIS technicians in Ireland in a wide array of industries.

In this hands-on course, you’ll dive into the world of GIS, exploring its core concepts, applications, and practical uses. Whether you’re a student aiming to enhance your employability or a professional seeking to upskill, this course is your gateway to mastering these vital tools.
